Day 1
The first day of your south wales tour will see you leave Cardiff, and head north, stopping at Castell Coch nestled in the hills to the North of the Welsh Capital. After a short time looking round this magical fairytale castle, you will be taken north, into the Brecon Beacons National Park, arriving at Cwm Porth, near The Four Waterfalls Walk, late morning. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the largest cave opening in Wales, and some of the Waterfalls on the Four Waterfalls Walk.

After meeting back up with your driver, you will be taken through some of the most remote parts of the national park, where you will be able to witness the solitude and wilderness for yourself. Early afternoon, you will arrive at Dan yr Ogof National Showcaves. Here you can spend the afternoon exploring this cave system before heading to your hotel for the evening in the Llandeilo area on the edge of the National Park

Day 2
On the second day, your driver will meet you at your hotel at a pre-arranged time, and you will head into Pembrokeshire arriving at the seaside town of Tenby. Here you will spend a few hours exporing the medieval towns narrow streets with colourful building, admiring the pristine beach. You may wish to visit the Tudor Merchant House, or take one of the many boat trips from the Harbour.

At a pre-arranged time, you will rendezvous with your driver once more, who will take you from the South Pembrokeshire Coast, through the Pembrokeshire Countryside to St Davids on the North West Pembrokeshire Coast. St David’s is the smallest city in the UK, and home to the largest Cathedral in Wales. Your driver will stop in St David’s to allow you time to visit the magnificent Cathedral. After which you will be taken up the West Wales coast. At times you will be right on the dramatic coast line, with stunning views both out across the Irish Sea, and inland across the Cambria Mountains. Along the way the tour will stop for a short period of time in the picturesque former fishing village of Aberareon, before continuing along the coast to your hotel for the evening, around the Victorian Holiday destination of Aberystwyth.

Day 3
The third and final day of this tour, will begin in Aberystwyth, where you will have the opportuninty to take the Cliff Railway, the 2nd longest Funicular Railway in the UK up the the top of the cliffs, overlooking the town. Here you can use the Camera Obscura to see over 60 miles in all directions. On your return to the car, your driver will take you Devils Bridge in the Cambrian Mountains, where you can visit the Waterfalls, and see the three bridges built above each other, that legend says were built by the Devil himself.

Leaving Devils bridge you will head into the Cambrian Mountains, and past the erry deserted Cwmystwtyh Lead Mines on the way to the Elan Valley. Your driver will take you down through the Elan Valley past a number of the reservoirs the area is famous for, arriving in Rhyader in the heart of Wales. Here you will have the chance to visit a Red Kite Feeding site, where you may have the opportunity to see hundreds of Birds of Prey feeding at the same time.

From Rhyader, you will head south back towards Cardiff, stopping in the town of Brecon on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park in the late afternoon. In Brecon, your driver will once more stop for a period of time, to allow you to explore this historic market town with strong military links. Whilst here, you will have the chance to have an early dinner if you wish, before heading back through the Brecon Beacons and returning to Cardiff  around 7:00pm to complete your South Wales Tour

Important Information:
The fee for this south wales  tour does NOT include accomodation in Cardiff, Llandeilo, or Aberystwyth. We do not arrange your accomodation, and guests are free to choose where they wish to stay each night, and are required to make you own arrangements. The tour has been planned to stop in the Llandeilo area on the first night, and Aberystwyth on the 2nd night, and recommend guests book suitable accomodation for yourself within 20 minutes of these places. If you are not sure if the location of somewhere is suitable for the rest of the tour, we will be please to advise accordingly before anywhere is booked

Certain locations and attractions on this tour, have an entrance fee which is not included in the tour fee. These include Dan-Yr-Ogof, Aberystwyth Cliff Railway, Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding Site. Whilst pre-booking is not essential for these places, it is recommended for Gigrin Farm as numbers are limited. We can pre-book any tickets for you if desired for an additional fee of facevalue +10%

You will have same driver for all 3 days of this tour, so you are free to leave items in the car overnight if you wish. Some guests in the past have chosen to have a “Day Bag” and a “Night Bag” and have left the Day Bag in the car overnight, so there is less to carry in and out of the hotel each evening. Whislt we are happy for our guests to do this, we can not be held liable should anything happen to anything left in the car overnight.

Each day will typically start at around 9:00am, but the start time of the second and third day will be confirmed with driver at the end of day before. Each day is then scheduled to finish between 5:30pm & 7:00pm
